Nashville girl gets surprise of a lifetime

Nashville girl gets surprise of a lifetime: A little 6-year-old girl got a huge surprise Wednesday from more than 800 cheering strangers. Nashville's Jazzy Duffy had no idea what was going on and no idea that Ezell Harding Christian School had been working for seven months on her behalf. (5/9/12)

Movies & TV shows

For the last 2 weeks or so I have watched a lot of movies and Tv shows. So here are few reviews.

Movies:
1. Warrior -8/10 (Minerva 7/10) It's a guy movie. The storyline was a little strange in places but the fighting was good.
2. Sherlock Holmes 2- 8/10 If you like 1 you will like this.
3. From Minerva: The Help -9/10 I like historlical points.
4. Super 8 -7/10 (Minerva 7/10) It kept me entertain but it seem like a lot of other movies rolled into one.
5. Cowboys and Aliens -7/10 (Minerva 6/10) It was a fun thoughtless movie to watch on a cold afternoon.
6. Puss in Boots - 8/10 Samuel "GREAT!" It was one best cartoons I have watched with Samuel.
7. Rise of the Planet of the Apes 7/10 (Minerva 8.5/10) Minerva thought everything was explained very good.
8. Goonies 9/10 Classic.

TV
1. Walking Dead Season 1 -9/10 Minerva watched this a week before me cure I'm not into zombies. But I was bored and watched. It is real good. It has some good story lines that don't really deal with the zombies.
2. The League -10/10 I found this on Netflix and I knew it had the hot Puerto Rican from My Name is Earl in it. I feel in love with the show and ended up watching Season 1 & 2 back to back in one night.

Other shows I like:
1. Weeds 9/10 Minerva and I have watched the first 6 seasons over the last year (first 5 seasons on Netflix and I bought season 6, an already sold it).
2. Dexter 10/10 Another great show.

Merry Christmas!

I know it has been a while but I'm back. Christmas has been great this year. Everyone seems happy with there gifts. We went to my mom's house for a couple days in Jackson TN. Christmas eve we went to my aunt's house for supper and football. Christmas day we woke and saw what Santa brought everyone then went to church. After church we just relaxed and watched movies all day.

Jack-O-Lantern

Samuel carved his first pumpkin this year. He had a lot of fun doing it. It may not be best on the block but it is still his.

Weekend

This was the first weekend I have been off that I didn't already have something planned or a burnt leg in a long time. It was a real nice time to spend time with my family without having to be home at a certain time for bed or anything. Friday afternoon I grabbed a Nashville Parent magazine and just looked for some free/cheap stuff. I found a hayride/campfire at a Murfreesboro park for $2 and it was nice but cold. The campfire was real nice and Minerva and Samuel enjoyed the s'mores. The hayride was ok but it was to cold for Daniel by that point. I would have like to stay by the campfire a little longer and listen to the music but Minerva was ready to go.
Saturday we met up with Nicole and Laila at Cheekwood for a "Wild West Weekend". The weather was just amazing. If you have never been to Cheeckwood you should check it out. After walking around a couple hours we went to Logan's for lunch. Then went to an "ice cream" shop but everything is under 100 calories, which I feel in love with. Tasti D-lite!!! Then Sunday I was able to watch the Biggest Loser I mean Titans game.
Wish I had more weekends off but having 4 days off through the week I capture a lot more little memories. I love when Samuel learns something at school and teaches me at night. Or just watching him sing to Daniel when he cries.

Also. My wife and I made a decision a couple weeks ago that has made a few people concerned. First we would NEVER do anything to put our family in risk. We did ask questions and the doctor never said NO to our questions, we just needed to be more protective. I have also looked at other websites and everything was positive. I think people our against you when you do stuff outside the box. That is not a bad thing because the are concerned also but they have nothing to back it up. So EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE! But what made me agree is because Minerva was for it 100%. She is my wife and mother to my children and I will be behind her no matter what, except for taking directions from her.

Have a great day!
